Monthly Message for September 2011

Happy Fall to all members of the Gateway Ducati Owners Group!

September was a tough riding month for our membership.  Our monthly bike night was cancelled due to its proximity to the Labor Day weekend.  Our monthly bike ride was initially delayed by the Labor Day weekend, then delayed by rain, and was finally completed on the 17th with just two members, Joe Henderson and Raymond So.

Enough of the past- let us focus on the future.  October promises to be filled with activities.  At the bike night, being held at the Triumph Grille, on October 4, 2011 at 6:30PM, we will hold elections for the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Ride Captain.  Each of these positions is essential for the operation of GDOG, and each one has requirements of time and energy.  The future direction of the club is in your hands, and all the elected officers ask for, and are grateful for, your participation.  We shall see you there.

October’s group ride will be held on the 8th, followed by our annual barbeque at Motorrad St. Louis, on Dale Avenue, in Dogtown.  The barbeque is a family affair and all are invited to attend.  If you haven’t RSVP’d, please do.

Also, the Columbus Day Parade is being held on October 9, 2011.  Rio Vitale and Vito Sicola are organizing the event.  Right now, there are very few participants.  We should have more motorcycles in the Parade.  Let us try to get more riders.

Thanks for your assistance in making the club a success.  We are looking forward to your continued participation so the club is a success in the future!
